Nevada Rest Break Requirements
activeNevada requires employers to provide a paid 10-minute rest break for every 4 hours of work, or major fraction thereof. The rest break must be provided as close to the middle of the 4-hour work period as practicable. Rest breaks are counted as hours worked and must be compensated.

Notes
Nevada's rest break requirement is similar to those in California, Colorado, and Washington. The 'major fraction thereof' language means that work periods of more than 2 hours beyond a multiple of 4 trigger an additional rest break. Rest periods are paid time and may not be combined with meal breaks or used to shorten the workday.
