Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Guidelines
The SEO effort at this stage centers mainly around proper title tags which are
implemented with Metatag.
Our standard is adapted from
TITLE TAGS FOR WEBSITES OUTSIDE OF THE ENERGY.GOV DRUPAL
ENVIRONMENT:
Main Site
- The main site home page should be “Institute for Advanced Study”.
- All other pages on the main site should include the specific page name, then a pipe, then site site name.
Examples:
- Institute for Advanced Study: https://www.ias.edu
- About | Institute for Advanced Study: https://www.ias.edu/about
Subsites
- Subsite home pages should include the name of the subsite followed by a pipe, then “Institute for Advanced Study”.
- All other pages should begin with the page name followed by a pipe, and then the subsite name.
Examples:
- School of Historical Studies | Institute for Advanced Study: https://www.hs.ias.edu
- Greek and Roman Civilization | School of Historical Studies: https://www.hs.ias.edu/classics
